BEAUTIFUL SET OF OLIVE GREEN LEATHER LOUNGE CHAIRS WITH OTTOMAN BY PERCIVAL LAFER, 1960S

SOLD

This beautiful conserved and very stylish set of olive green leather lounge chairs with ottoman is designed by the Brazilian master furniture designer Percival Lafer in the 1960s. The solid rosewood frame carries the smooth leather tufted leather softshell that is shaped around the frame and hold in place by thick saddle leather straps attached on the frame. An extremely strong designed rosewood and leather club chair from Brazil. The frames, the delicious green leather upholstery and the foaming are in a very good original condition. The set shows some light – non disturbing – wear, consistent its age and use; the chrome stick that carries the saddle leather straps shows some minor corrosion, the piece of lining fabric underneath the seating has to be renewed and one of the chairs has two small flaps of leather at the back broken.

Pair of rosewood and olive green leather lounge chairs. Jean Gillon. Produced by Woodart, Brazil. 1960s.
